Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (2014), you have the right to cancel any contract for goods purchased online within 14 calendar days of delivery.
- The cancellation period begins the day after you receive the item.
- Goods cannot be returned after 14 calendar days from receipt.
To initiate a return, please:
- Fill out this form : Return/Replacement Form
- Someone from our customer service team will reach back to you on your email and will give you a unique Returns Number, which must be displayed on the outer box of the returned item through a label provided by the delivery partner. (Goods returned without this number will not be accepted)
How to Return Your Items
- Pack the items carefully and securely in their original packaging.
- Include all original components, such as bulbs or parts provided with the delivery.
- Clearly display the Returns Number on the outer box.
- Return the item to us, along with your receipt, ensuring it arrives within 14 days of the Returns Number being issued.
Important:
- The Returns Number is valid for 14 days only.
- Items must be returned in a saleable condition. We cannot accept:
- Items that have been installed, modified, or used.
- Items with damaged or written-on inner packaging.
- Items that are damaged during return transit.
Return Shipping Costs:
- Customers are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods.
- Goods may be returned via courier or registered post.
Refund Adjustments:
- If you paid initial postage on your order, this amount will be deducted from your refund.
- If your order was qualified for free delivery, a £5.95 delivery charge will be deducted from your refund.
Faulty or Damaged Goods
For items that arrive faulty or damaged:
- Notify us within 24 hours of delivery by filling out this form Return/Replacement Form .
- After this period, we cannot accept responsibility for postal damages or incomplete fittings.
- We will send the images to our vendor for verification and then depending on your preference, we will:
- Replace the faulty or damaged item in full.
- Refund the full amount.
For partially faulty items:
- The vendor will send a replacement of the damaged part if possible.
- If a replacement part is unavailable, the complete item will be replaced by our vendor.
Return Shipping Costs For Faulty Items : In case of faulty item, the policies differ from vendor to vendor. Some of our vendors will ask you to dispose the faulty unit and will send you a fresh new product in replacement, while some vendors collect the faulty items from you for evaluation and then send you the replacement or issue your refund.
Exclusions: Comet Lighting is not liable for any related costs incurred by the customer, such as electrician fees or loss of earnings.
Warranty Claims
For issues arising within the warranty period, contact us via email or phone for a free replacement of the faulty part or item.
